We, ‘’Koot’’, are an internet-based mobile phone application by JMJ Communications, and this document uses the words “we” and JMJ Communications interchangeably, and “you” and “users” interchangeably. The expression “we” covers ‘’Koot’’ and both JMJ Communications, as and when the context allows.

Terms "We", "Koot", and "JMJ Communications", covers their respective current or former employees, officers, directors, agents, successors, assigns, parents, subsidiaries, divisions, or affiliated corporations.

The users' right to privacy is of paramount importance to the’’koot’’ and JMJ Communications community.

We take data security and privacy with critical importance. We are committed to maintaining a no-leak and no-disclosure policy, ensuring that any private and sensitive data receives appropriate protection. In our application, users and providers/listeners are in control and can decide what they want to share and what they prefer to keep private.

Any information you share with us voluntarily is redacted, obscure, and censored from everyone, including the employees of ’’koot’’ and JMJ Communications, as well as external listeners.

The information or data you share with our listeners or others is for “your eyes only.” We only retain the basic minimum information like name, age, and email ID for the registration process.

  • We do not send you messages without your permission.
  • We send promotional messages with an option to opt out at any time.
  • We do not share data with any third party, whatsoever.

However, ‘’koot’’ may, with your implied permission, use the basic information and data provided by you to provide a more personalized online experience.

‘’We’’ stores any data entered by the user in a very secure format to prevent any leakage or misuse.

No “sensitive personal data” is collected or stored and used as per the required legal guidelines. We emphasize and actively inform all users to avoid sharing any “sensitive personal data” with anyone connected to or representing Koot.

The only purpose of collecting any basic or required information is to provide you with a more secure experience for real-time users and enable listeners to address and engage users coherently.

In general, you can visit Koot’s portal without telling us who you are and without revealing any information about yourself. There are times, however, when Koot’s may need information from you. Only in such instances, as disclosed, Koot’s reserves the right to gather the information and use it according to the terms mentioned.

Koot’s does not rent, sell, or share personal or any other form of information about you to anyone, including non-affiliates, except to provide the services as agreed or intended to be generally provided through the Koot’s application or any other service you've specifically requested, when Koot’s has your permission.

Koot’s provides your redacted and censored information to unspecified listeners (as defined in the disclaimer) who engage with Koot’s under strict confidentiality agreements and non-disclosure contracts.

However, Koot’s, as per law, is legally bound to disclose information that any government organization requests with proper instructions from the court of law, to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding unlawful activities, suspected deception, situations posing a risk to personal safety, or as mandated by legal requirements.

Koot’s, as far as its publishing and online involvement is concerned, is only an intermediary as defined under the “Information Technology Act, 2000” and “Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021,” and does not modify or manipulate user-generated content (if any), and is therefore protected under the law.

Your Consent

We've updated our Privacy Policy to provide you with complete transparency into what is being set when you visit our site and how it's being used. By using our app, registering an account, or making a purchase, you consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.

Changes To Our Privacy Policy

We may change our services and policies, including this Privacy Policy, to reflect updates accurately. Unless required by law, we will notify you (for example, through our Service) before changes go into effect. If you continue to use the Service, you will be bound by the updated Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may delete your account.

Kids' Privacy

We do not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not intentionally gather personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us. If we become aware that we've collected personal data from anyone under 18 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day refund policy for all purchases made via the Koot’s platform. After the 7-day window, no refunds will be processed.

Refund will be credited to beneficiary bank account within 7 days.

Please Note:

There is no shipping for any services purchased through Koot’s as we provide digital services only.

Payments Data

When you use our services for purchases or financial transactions, we process additional information, including payment account and transaction details. Payment account and transaction information include data needed to complete the transaction (e.g., payment method, amounts involved).

We do not retain any sensitive payment data, such as debit card numbers, expiry dates, PINs, OTPs, or BHIM UPI PINs, as per the law.

  • We are not liable for any actions or information shared by our users or third parties.
Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

The law governing any disputes will be under the jurisdiction of courts in Kerala, India. The governing law will be Indian law, and any dispute shall be resolved through arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
